SAT

What is the SAT?

SAT is the Scholastic Assessment Test, which was previously known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test, required to enroll in higher education abroad. If you aspire to study in undergraduate programs in countries like the US, Canada, and the UK, they give a very high weightage to your SAT score. So, you can consider SAT as an entrance or admission exam for undergraduate studies abroad.

The SAT assesses a test taker's ability to analyse and solve problems, which are abilities/skills one learns in school and will be essential in college. Plus, SAT scores are a vital part when colleges decide on scholarships. Therefore, students from Nepal and all over the world give the SAT to attain scholarships for their undergraduate level education.

How is the SAT scores calculated?

First of all, the SAT will assess your language and mathematical reasoning abilities. So, the 2 main sections of SAT are Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Maths.

The number of right answers in each section will be collected, which is known as raw scores. Then, the SAT scoring team will convert the raw scores of each section on a scale of 200 to 800. As a result, the total SAT score will range from 400 to 1600 by adding the scores of 2 sections. On the other hand, the score for your SAT essay section will be calculated separately.

Eden Academy is well-known for conducting SAT classes in Nepal because we understand the importance of your higher education. Additionally, we want to do everything we can to help you study abroad within your budget by helping you secure competitive scholarship schemes.
