What is the GMAT?

GMAT is an acronym for the Graduate Management Admission Test, which is a vital part of one’s admission to a business or management school. GMAT is recognized by more than 2300 institutions in about 110 countries including the top destinations for Nepali students like the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Thailand, and so on. To clarify further, the GMAT is a computer-based standardised entrance exam that is frequently required to join the graduate business programs (MBA) around the world.

Your GMAT score, along with your professional history, academic record, and supporting documents, are used by business school admission committees to judge your suitability for the requirements of an MBA program. This is why many students take GMAT preparation in Nepal very seriously and sign up for GMAT classes near them.

How is the GMAT score calculated?

First of all, the GMAT contains 4 components or sections: the Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA), Integrated Reasoning (IR), Verbal Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning. The entire test lasts about 3 and a half hours, and you can choose the order in which you attempt different sections of the GMAT.

The score for the AWA section ranges from 0 to 6, and IR ranges from 1 to 8. Likewise, for both verbal and quantitative reasoning, the score ranges from 0 to 60. The scores of all sections are combined to generate your GMAT score on a scale of 200 to 800.

A high GMAT score and your chance of being accepted at a business school go hand in hand. So, Eden Academy is committed to helping you with GMAT preparation, GMAT practice test or mock test, GMAT registration, and so on.
