IELTS

What is the IELTS?

IELTS (The International English Language Testing System) is a test that will help you work, study or migrate to an English-speaking country. This includes top destinations such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, and the USA, where English is the native language. The IELTS test questions were also developed by language specialists from these top countries.

As more than 10,000 institutions and 140 countries worldwide recognize IELTS results, it is undoubtedly the most popular choice among Nepali students.

How is the IELTS score calculated?

This examination will assess the ability to listen, read, write, and speak in English. So, Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking are the 4 sections of IELTS.

The IELTS score will be graded on a scale of 1-9, with 6 being the average level for international students. Here, you will get a band score for each of the 4 sections, and your overall band score will be the average of all 4 scores.

The higher you can score in your IELTS, the better. A higher score reflects a deeper understanding and ability to communicate in English, which is necessary for many aspects of life abroad.

Each and every immigration body, university, or workplace will have specific requirements. So, check with them first about the IELTS score you need. Furthermore, the required IELTS score depends on what goals one has while living/working abroad.

All in all, if you want to do well in IELTS, we recommend taking IELTS classes, IELTS online training, and mock tests. Eden has successfully trained more than 4500 students who aced their IELTS. High IELTS success is something we take pride in, and our students are proof of it.
